About me, Scott Smart
My own journey
As a passionate trail runner and personal development fan I've always sought the most efficient recovery methods to ensure I'm at my best for every run and training session. Through my journey, I discovered the profound benefits of alternating between hot and cold therapy. This combination has transformed my recovery routine and can do the same for you.

A big personal problem for me has always been finding facilities that could support my recovery program while working in remote locations. Even when traveling around the UK or working from home, the issue has always been finding accessible facilities without a monthly gym subscription that most the time don’t even live up to expectation. Out of this Kaido was born to solve this problem using portable recovery products that reduce the barrier to entry for all allowing you to set up anywhere and anytime.

the Recovery Project
By building the Recovery Project at Kaido, we aim to introduce affordable recovery solutions while creating a community that educates on the benefits of recovery, good habits, and continual improvement, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among like-minded individuals.

Journey of self-discovery
Pushing the boundaries of my own personal limits has become somewhat of a passion in the last few years as a journey of self-discovery has spurred me onto different challenges form building a business to competing in Ultra Trail Running events. This Journey has really made me consider all aspects of my life and created the necessity to evaluate a lot of my own routines/habits which haven’t always led to the most optimal outcomes. With long distance Ultra events and the heavy training load that this then entails it’s sometimes hard to find the time and priorities what your body needs but through trial and error I’ve learnt what is best for my body and mind to give me the keep myself at as optimal as I can.

The people in my life have had a huge impact on my direction and progress which has been paramount in shaping me into the person I am today helping ground my thinking, understand, and implement my core values and grow as a person. The understanding that every day is work and the work never stops is at the core value of my own journey to keep exploring my own limitations.

Pushing limits

By pushing the boundaries of what you are capable of comes change. Signing up for my first long distance Ultra at 85KM with over 5600m of elevation really helped focus me on the amount of work ahead and reevaluate many choices I was making that were not aligned with this goal. From my own experience I’ve learned that you are only as good as your habits and systems. By implementing process and self-discipline you truly can achieve anything.
From this at Kaido we envisage building a supporting community centering on the betterment of all in the community through education and community to help individuals collectively become the best versions of themselves whilst inspiring each other.
