The story
Heat and cold have always lived side by side
When it comes to hot and cold, contrast has always been the key.
In Finland, the sauna sits at the edge of the lake. The walk from one to the other is part of it. In Japan's bathhouses, a small cold bath waits beside the hot one. In Russia, it is the banya. Then a bucket of cold water, or the snow outside.
Bali has no frozen lake. So we made the cold. Our ice bath keeps its water at 3°C on a 32°C day. No ice needed.
Now the heat sits beside it: a Canadian red cedar sauna by Sozen, our sauna partner. People have done hot and cold for hundreds of years. Now it is a few steps from your bedroom.

An evening at home
This is what a round looks like when both are in your garden.

The heat
Switch the sauna on when you get home. By the time you change, the cedar is warm. The room smells of it. Ladle a little water on the stones. The steam rolls down from the ceiling. The Finns call it löyly.

Out onto the deck. The evening feels cooler than it did. Sit for a minute and drink some water.

Lift the lid. The water is just as you set it this morning. Step in, sit down and breathe slowly. Get out whenever you need to.

Each ice bath starts as SS316 marine-grade stainless steel from German mills. It is the grade used at sea. The mills' certificates prove it. We shape and finish it by hand in Indonesia, to order.
ECOLLABO8 make the step and lid from 75 kg of Bali's plastic. The chiller holds the water anywhere from 3 to 40°C. Cold in the morning. Warm at night.

Open the door and the cedar reaches you first. Warm, dry and a little sweet. It gets stronger as the room heats. Canadian red cedar has been the sauna builder's wood for generations. It takes daily heat and damp without warping. It resists rot, too. It stays kind on your back, even when the air is hot.
Sozen build every sauna to order. They make saunas better than we could. So we teamed up with them. Now you get a sauna you can trust, beside an ice bath you can trust.
